Children from Early Childhood Education celebrate English Day by designing typical icons of the United Kingdom: the paper cones of fish and chips and the classic London bus. We play memory games and sing songs in English.
The primary school students collaborate with the younger ones to design the typical icons of the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the USA.
In 1st grade, we design the typical American hamburger with clay, accompanied by French fries. In the middle cycle, we focus on Ireland and take photos in a photocall with the shamrock and the typical Irish hat. We have learned more about the history of the ‘leprechauns’ through dynamic and fun games!
In upper primary, we perform plays written and set by ourselves, in addition to many challenges to enhance the English language through songs, Kahoots, vocabulary games, crosswords, and more.
The 1st-year secondary school students attend a talk on Anglo-Saxon culture, ‘All about Ireland,’ given by Mr. Alistair Jones. We also work on the English language through music! We choose musical groups from English-speaking countries and perform their music. To finish the day, we watch the movie Soul!”
Different grade levels design choreographies, karaoke, and dubbing of the most iconic soundtracks in English.”
